Donald Trump's Views on Human Trafficking

In January 2026, Trump’s administration marked National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month with statements emphasizing renewed efforts to end trafficking and reform policies they claim previously enabled exploitation.

The Anti-Human Trafficking Department was established by the Anti-Human Trafficking (Amendment) Act No. 16 of 2022. The Department was fully operationalized on 1st March 2024.
