The Unit is responsible for coordinating the provision of protection services to victims of trafficking in order to ensure the rights of victims are protected.

The Unit shall perform the following specific functions:

1. Coordinate the provision of protection services to victims of trafficking;
2. Facilitate the provision of counselling services to victims of trafficking;
3. Liaise with Government agencies and non-governmental organizations to promote the rehabilitation and reintegration of victims;
4. Establish measures for the effective protection of victims of trafficking; and
5. Coordinate and provide technical support to both State and Non-State actors aimed at protecting victims of trafficking.
