The Unit is responsible for coordinating the development of platforms for stakeholder engagements on human trafficking. The Unit shall also be responsible for coordinating the monitoring and implementation of programmes relating to human trafficking.

The Unit performs the following specific functions:

1. Develop national guidelines on the management of TIP in order to have a standardized response;
2. Establish mechanisms to facilitate the coordination of relevant stakeholders on matters related to trafficking in persons in order to ensure harmonized national response;
3. Provide secretariat to the National Committee on human trafficking;
4. Prepare project proposals in order to facilitate resource mobilization;
5. Develop and manage platforms for stakeholder interactions;
6. Coordinate the preparation of annual reports on Trafficking in Persons in order to adhere to the legal provisions and international obligations;
7. Develop guidelines on the management of Trafficking In Persons Fund; and
8. Prepare monitoring and evaluation reports on TIPs.
